GOLDEN, HORACE
Horace Golden, the son of the late Willie and Caline Golden, a native of
Killian, who resides in Beaumont, Texas, died at Christus St. Elizabeth
Hospital, Monday, October 8, 2007 at the age of 60.  He is survived by his
son, Horace Reginald Golden (Tesha) of Houston; four sisters, Liley
(Arthur) Baker, San Diego, Calif.; Myrtle (Earl) Austin and Pauline (T.J.)
Hoskins, Killian; and Dinah (Rodney) Carter of Hammond; one brother,
Cleveland (Dina) Golden Sr. of Tickfaw, two play brothers, Eddie (Betty)
Robinson Jr. of Hammond, and Joe (JoAnn) Adams of Moss Point, Miss.; and
one play sister, Barbara Lincoln of Beaumont.  Services will be at
Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Saturday, October 13, at 4 p.m. and
burial will follow at Holly Gardens Cemetery.  N.A. James Funeral Home,
Hammond.  "He maketh me lie down in gree pastures. He leads me beside still
waters; he restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his
name's sake. Even though I walk thought the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort
me."

GOLDEN, JESSIE
Killian - Jessie Golden, 96, died Sunday, May 28, 2000, at North Oaks
Medical Center.  He was a native of Cleo, a farmer and retired logging
supervisor.  Survivors include his wife, Genevia Golden; three daughters,
Bernadine Jackson, Bernice Corbin and Geneveve Banks; son, Persey Golden;
sister, Elsie Mitchell; 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one
great-great-grandchild.  A son, one sister and two brothers, preceded him
in death.  Visitation will be at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Killian, Friday
from 7 p.m. until the funeral at 8 p.m. The Rev. Robert Smith will conduct
the service. Dismissal will be Saturday at 11 a.m., and burial will be in
the church cemetery.  N.A. James Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge.

GOLDEN, TENA SAMPERE
A resident of Tickfaw, she died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at her home. She
was 72 and a native of Independence. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son
Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday and after 8 a.m.
Wednesday. Religious services at the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m.
Wednesday. Interment in Little River Pentecostal Church Cemetery, Tickfaw.
Survived by her husband, Norris Lee Golden, Tickfaw; three children, Byron
Curt Golden, Hammond, Karla Denise Golden, Tickfaw, and Rodney Steven
Golden, San Antonio; two grandchildren, Byron and Bradley; and four
brothers, Lee Sampere, Hammond, Joe Sampere, Baton Rouge, Buster Sampere,
Violet, and Mike Sampere, Beaumont, Texas. Preceded in death by a son,
Keith Arlen Golden; parents, Rosario and Margaret Constantino Sampere; a
sister and four brothers.
