Pumpkin Center - Emily M. Good, 82, died Thursday, April 1, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. A New Orleans native, she was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Hammond. She is survived by one son, Dennis Good Sr. of Ponchatoula; one daughter, Julie Durel of Pumpkin Center; two sisters, Althea Rayes of Chalmette, and Mae Miller of Slidell; one brother, Warren Faurie of Carriere, Miss.; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Richard Good Sr.; and one son, Allen Richard "Dickie" Good Jr. Visitation will be Monday at Geisler Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 9:30 until the funeral at 11 a.m. conducted by the Rev. Robert Mader. Burial will be at Sandhill Cemetery, Ponchatoula. THOMAS JACKSON "JACK" A resident of Independence, he died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at West Jefferson General Hospital, Marrero. He was 48 and a native of Smith Center, Kan. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the 82nd Division Airborne Rangers. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home chapel, Hammond, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, with religious services at 4 p.m. Interment in Fort Scott National Cemetery on Friday, Dec. 22. Survived by his wife, Joan Ducuing Good; two daughters, Kelly Marie Good and Kathryn Meg Good; and a son, Thomas J. Good III, all of Independence; mother, Alice Lyons Good, Franklinton; a sister, Laura Good Young, Bogalusa; and a brother, Wade Wesley Good, New Orleans. Preceded in death by his father, Thomas Jackson Good Sr. He was a member of Operators Engineers Union Local 406, New Orleans.
