He worked as a construction superintendent for Boh Brothers Construction Company and was a U.S. Army Air Corps sergeant in World War II. Survivors include four daughters, Sallie Altemus of Montgomery Village, Md., Terry Lynn Aucoin and Mary Downing, both of Hammond, and Dorothy Mahar of Magnolia, Texas; a son, James A. Gorenflo of River Ridge; his brother, Shelby Gorenflo of Baton Rouge; two stepsons, Craig Smith of Carriere, Miss., and Richard Smith of Mandeville; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Gorenflo and Sophie Regan Gorenflo; his first wife, Dorothy Pusey Gorenflo; his second wife, Mildred Seitz Smith Gorenflo; one son, James Gorenflo Jr.; four sisters, Ruth Weeks, Ethel Robicheaux, Nellie McBride and Hazel Laddner; and one brother, James Gorenflo Jr. Visitation will be Wednesday at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 10 a.m. until the funeral at 1 p.m. The Rev. Harvey Blaschko will be in charge. Burial will be at Ponchatoula Cemetery. Contributions may be made to North Oaks Hospice, P.O.
