GOSS, HELEN MILDRED PIER "MUGGINS" 
A resident of Independence, she died Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at her home.
She was 80 and a native of Loranger. Graveside service at Briar Patch
Cemetery, Loranger, at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 17. She is survived by a
daughter, Linda Dykes, Independence; eight grandchildren and nine great-
grandchildren. Preceded in death by her father, William Pier; mother,
Carrielou Stewart; husband, Albert "Red" Goss; a daughter, Shirley Bennett;
a son, Ralph Goss; a brother, Larry Pier; and a sister, Janie Lloyd. Harry
McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge of arrangements.
