Hermine S. Gottschalck, 82, of Hammond, La., passed away, Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at her residence. She was born on Sunday, June 15, 1930, in Hammond, La., daughter of the late Floyd F. Stevens and late Volena Harper Stevens. Surviving are husband, Elmer E. Gottschalck, sons, Clinton "Steve" Gottschalck, Millard "Billy" E. Gottschalck and wife Diane C. Gottschalck, grandchildren, Leigh Paige Reid and husband Shawn, William Eric Gottschalck and wife Callie, Clay Ervin Gottschalck and wife Melanie, Chester Lee Gottschalck and wife Whitney and Craig Elliot Gottschalck and wife Rhonda, 11 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Grace Stevens, brothers, Kenneth "Clinton" Stevens and wife Ida and Hulon Allen Stevens and wife June. She is preceded in death by son, Ray Allen Gottschalck, brother, Raymond Dale Stevens and 3 infant siblings. Friends and family will be received Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Harry McKneely & Son Hammond. Services will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Hammond, Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at 1 p.m. with Bro. Gary Dennis officiating. Interment will follow in the Stevens Cemetery, Copperhead Rd., Tickfaw. The family has requested contributions may be made to the Stevens Cemetery. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Advocate (Baton Rouge) on: 5/3/2000 GOTTSCHALCK, STELLA HENNIS A resident of Ponchatoula, she died Monday, May 1, 2000, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. She was 64 and a native of Picayune, Miss. Visitation was at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday. Visitation at the funeral home chapel from 8 a.m. until religious services at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by Sister Lorena Wilson. Interment in Killian Chapel Cemetery. Survived by a daughter, Marie Need, Texas; two sisters, Della LeDoux, Ponchatoula, and Dovie Cox, Independence; and six grandchildren.
