Born, November 23, 1930, in Independence, Louisiana, daughter of the late Tom Ribando and the late Rosa Arnone Ribando. Surviving are son & daughter-in-law, Angelo "Jr." and Connie Governale Jr., daughter and partner, Rosemary Governale and Rhonda Drury, brother & sister-in-law, Joe and Bena Ribando, sister, Rosalie Ribando, grandchildren, Angelo and Jamie Governale III, John T. Governale, Lorraine Desporte, Michael and Alena Governale, Ashley and Brittany Drury and Destiny Dore, 10 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband, Angelo R. Governale Sr., great-grandchild, Joycie Driggers, brothers, Dr. Russell T. Ribando and Dr. Guy Ribando. Friends will be received Friday, August 3, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home. She was 68, a resident and native of Tickfaw. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, with a 7 p.m. vigil service, and from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Friday. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday. Interment in Tickfaw Catholic Cemetery.
