Alfred John Graf Sr., 82 years old of Loranger, died Saturday, July 2, 2011, in North Oaks Medical Center. He was born on Friday, August 17, 1928, in New Orleans, son of the late Phillip Graf and the late Ella Conrad Graf. Surviving are his 4 sons, John, Russell, Glen, and Gary Graf; daughter, Diane Graf; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Martha Mae Hurlburt Graf; 3 brothers, Phillip, Harold, and Julius; and 3 sisters, Shirley, Baba, and Sister. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, Monday, July 4, 2011, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Steven Cemetery. She was born May 9, 1928, in New Orleans, the daughter of the late Albert Hurlburt and the late Bessie Felder Hurlburt. Surviving are her husband, Alfred John Graf; four sons, John, Russell, Glen and Gary Graf; a daughter, Diane Graf; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Mary Ann Hurlburt. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, on Tuesday, Aug. 22, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until religious service in the chapel at 11 a.m., with Brother Mike Hegwood officiating.
