He worked with his brother, Ernie, at Granger's Fruit Stand for more than 40 years. He is survived by three brothers, James Granger and Wilford Granger, both of Ponchatoula, and John Granger of Robert; three sisters, Maebell Forrest of Purvis, Miss., Betty Anthony of Folsom and Mary Furca of Albany; stepsister, Margie Bankston of Natalbany; stepbrother, Martin Goynes of Denham Springs; two nephews, Erney Granger and Troy Granger; and three nieces, Norma Granger Reid, Virginia Granger Snyder and Wyvonia Granger Akes. He was preceded in death by his father, John Elige Granger; mother, Eva Borders; stepmother, Estelle Bennett Granger; brothers, Ernie A., Kenneth Wayne and Ray Anthony Granger; stepbrother, Wiley Goynes; and sister, Dorothy Lee. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his boys and camping with his family until his failing health would not allow him to do so. He loved to sit and reminisce of those times, but most of all, he loved his family.
