Jacinda Jo Springer Granier, 28, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at her home. She was employed with Airbourne Express. Born in Westwego, she is survived by her parents, Joe L. Springer Jr. and Doris Williams Springer of LaPlace.; one brother, Brian Springer of LaPlace; her maternal grandmother, Eulene Williams of Terry's Creek. Her paternal grandparents are Joseph L. Springer Sr. and Dagmer Dinkgreve Springer; and her maternal grandfather, Ellis Williams. Visitation will be Tuesday at Catchings Funeral Home, McComb, from noon until the Rev. Charles Williams conducts the funeral at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Terry's Creek Cemetery. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star: 8/27/2009 GRANIER, LARRY JOSEPH Age 62, Larry was born in Thibodaux and passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at his residence in Hammond. He was a parishioner of Holy Ghost Catholic Church and a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran. After serving four years in the U.S. Navy, he joined the Air National Guard where he retired as a Master Sergeant with 32 years of service. Larry is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, Karen Mitchell Granier; mother, Anna Granier Roberson of Texas; sister-in-law, Anne Freet Granier of Thibodaux. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Josie V. Mitchell; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Warren and Brenda Eyster of Hammond, Dr. John Mitchell Jr. of Mansura, David and Donna Brooks of Tennessee, along with many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and close friends. Preceding Larry in death were his father, Theodore Granier Jr. and brother, Douglas Granier. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home on Friday, August, 28, 2009 at 12 noon, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The services will be officiated by Deacon Wallace Gainey and interment will follow in Rose Memorial Cemetery with full military honors. Houma -- Paul Clifton "P.C." Granier Sr., 96, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at The Suites at Sugar Mill Point in Houma. He was a resident of The Suites at Sugar Mill Point in Houma, a native of Edgard and a longtime resident of Hammond and Ponchatoula. He was a retired New York Life agent of 35 years with 60 years in the insurance business. He served on the board of directors at Ponchatoula Homestead and was a past president of the Kiwanis Club in Ponchatoula. He was a member of the Ponchatoula Volunteer Fire Department. He served on the City Council in Ponchatoula and was a parishioner of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Vivian Simon Granier of Houma; a daughter, Janice G. Gruber of Mount Dora, Fla.; a son, Paul C. Granier Jr. of Houma; two grand- children and four great-grandchildren. His parents, Emilienne Joseph and Delia Schmidt Granier; six brothers, Jack, Claude, Emile, Melvin, Norman and Eddie Granier; and two sisters, Esther Poche and Marie Bossier, preceded him in death.
