She was born Sept. 15, 1933, in Tangipahoa. She was a homemaker and retired from the Jefferson Parish school system. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Tuesday, Sept. 4, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Louis Boyd of Florida Boulevard Baptist Church. Interment in Woodland Park Cemetery, Kentwood. She is survived by her sister, Lynne D. Spears; and her children, Sharon G. Parker and husband Mike, Baton Rouge, Marc J. Greene and wife, Cindy, Cleveland, Ga., Kent A. Greene and wife Shelby, Hahnville, and Van E. Greene, Baton Rouge; and grandchildren, Benjamin M. Parker, Nicholas J. Greene, Cody C. Greene, Rachel E. Parker and Sophia M. Greene. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill J. Greene; her mother, Virginia B. Spears; her father, Leon C. Spears Sr.; and two brothers, Leon C. Spears Jr. and John H. Spears. Bettye took great pride in her family and dedicated her life to them. She loved people and enjoyed working with the mildly disabled children in the Jefferson Parish school system. She loved her church, Florida Boulevard Baptist, especially her Sunday school class, the Alpha Class. She also enjoyed singing in the church choir. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Benjamin, Nic and Cody, and son-in-law, Mike Parker. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bill and Bettye Greene Memorial Fund c/o Kenny Sharpe, P.O. GREENE, MARY ANN A resident of Roseland, LA, and formerly of Taylor, TX, she died at 4:50PM on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at her home. She was born April 24, 1953 in Corpus Christi, TX and was 60 years of age. She is survived by 2 sons, Ben Greene, Roseland and Matthew Greene, Corpus Christi, TX. Preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Rose Havoc.
