He was a native of Ripley, Miss., a member of Derby Baptist Church and a logger. He is survived by his mother, Mary Mauney Grisham of Hammond; six sisters, Betty Smith, Sharon Scott and Judy Scott, all of Poplarville, Miss., Marsha Moore, Marilyn Busby and Linda Alfano, all of Hammond; four brothers, Benny Grisham of Poplarville, Gale Grisham of Bogalusa, Bobby Grisham of Hammond and Lee Earl Grisham Jr. of Ponchatoula. He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Earl Grisham Sr. Visitation is today from 1 p.m. at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, until the Rev. Jake Roudkovski conducts the funeral at 2:30. He was born on Wednesday, April 17, 1940, in Ripley, Mississippi, son of the late Lee Earl Grisham Sr. and the late Mary Alline Mouney Grisham. Surviving are his wife, Annie Ruth Baughman Grisham; 3 daughters, Lisa G. Rivers and husband Charles, Tammy G. Mayers and husband Roy, and Sheila Grisham; son, Bobby Kenneth Grisham; 8 grandchildren, Patrick Knight, Paige Knight, Charly Rivers, Ryan Mayers, Royce Mayers, Brooke Graham, Ryan Rivers, and Keri Puls; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Lyman Gale Grisham, twin brother, Benny Grisham, and Lee Grisham Jr.; and 6 sisters, Betty Smith, Judy Scott, Linda Alfano, Sharon Scott, Marilyn Busby, and Marsha Moore. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Billy Grisham. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond on Friday, July 2, 2010, from 6:00 pm till 9:00 pm. He was born on Tuesday, December 27, 1994, in Hammond, Louisiana. Landen was a remarkable young man. He was an Honor Roll student who loved baseball, hunting, his dog "Buck," and his friends and family. His baseball career was highlighted by several seasons as a Ponchatoula All-Star. He loved taking Buck hunting and enjoyed going "down the river." Landen also had a heroic side. He saved the lives of two drowning children when he pulled them from the Tangipahoa River at Carpenter's Landing in 2009. Landen had friends uncounted. He was loved by all that knew him. He will be sorely missed. Surviving are his parents, Lee and Cecilia "Cissy" Davis Grisham Jr.; sister, Melanie Lee Grisham; maternal grandfather, James B. Davis; maternal grandmother, Diane Hart Davis; maternal great-grandmother, Lois Hart; 10 aunts and uncles and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Lee Earl Grisham Sr. and Mary Alline Mauney Grisham; great-grandfather, Hoyte Hart; uncles, Jake Alfano and Billy Grisham.
