GUESS, DORIS
Co-owner of Guess & Kent Drug Store and a resident of Hammond, she died
Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. She was 86
and a native of Spearsville. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral
Home, Hammond, from 8 a.m. until the service at 10 a.m. Saturday. Interment
in Greenlawn Cemetery. Survived by two daughters, Brenda Fay Guess DehÈ,
Norco, and Patricia Ann Guess Maurepas, Maurepas; a son, Douglas Logan
Guess, Loranger; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, John E. Guess Jr.; parents, John and 
Madora Elkins Spears; five sisters and two brothers. She was a member of
First Baptist Church and Hammond Garden Club.
