She was a native of Tickfaw. She is survived by two sisters, Patricia and Ann Guiffreda, both of New Orleans; and three brothers, Pat Guiffreda Jr. of Tickfaw, Roy Guiffreda of Brookhaven, Miss., and Frank Guiffreda of Ponchatoula. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pasquale and Virginia Giaratano Guiffreda; one brother, Phillip Guiffreda; and two sisters, Sarah Guiffreda and Mary G. Sheehan. Visitation will be Friday at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 9 a.m. until Wallace Gainey conducts the funeral at noon. Religious services at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, Tickfaw, at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, conducted by a Dominican priest. Interment in Tickfaw Catholic Cemetery. Survived by her husband, Pasquale Guiffreda, Tickfaw; a daughter, Mrs. Victor E. (Virginia) Peco, Tickfaw; two brothers, Joe Caldorera and Tony L. "PAS" Pasquale "Pas" Guiffreda Jr., 93, a native of Hammond, died Sunday, June 12, 2005, at North Oaks Medical Center. He was born son of the late Pasquale and Virginia Giaratano Guiffreda on Friday, May 10, 1912, and was a lifelong resident of Tickfaw. He was a strawberry farmer who served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II. Surviving are his daughter, Virginia G. Peco of Tickfaw; two brothers, Frank Guiffreda of Ponchatoula and Roy Guiffreda of Brandon, Miss.; two sisters, Pat Guiffreda and Annie Guiffreda, both of New Orleans; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Caldorera; sisters, Lena and Sarah Guiffreda and Mary G. Sheehan; and brother, Philip Guiffreda.
