Before moving to Houma, she was a longtime resident of Independence. She leaves behind her children, Paige Nicole Gulotta and Ryan David Gulotta; stepsons, Brandon and Brent Gulotta; two stepgrandchildren, Kye and Blane Gulotta; parents, Catherine Sullivan and Salvador J. Campise Sr.; and siblings, Salvador J. Campise Jr. and fiancˇe LaTricia and Chancy Byrd. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frances and Pascal Campise; and grandmothers, Irine Cueria and Marie Husser. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, west of Hammond, on Sunday, July 10, at 1 p.m. The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Saturday, July 9, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again Sunday, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service time. Born Dec 25, 1900 in Sambucca, Italy the daughter of Anthony and Fillipa Catalano. Lived 60 years in Rockford, coming here from Independence, La. Married Mike Gulotta in Louisiana Sept 14, 1920, he died in 1958. She also was predeceased by a daughter Phyllis Mc Daniel in 1979. Member St. Anthony Catholic Church. Surviors include a son, Joseph; a daughter, Mrs Alex (Anne) Abate; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
