HADDAD, NINA ADELE ERICHSON
Nina Adele Erichson Haddad passed away on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011.  Beloved 
wife of 42 years to Raymond J. Haddad. Age 79 years, she was a native of 
New Orleans, LA, resident of Hammond, LA for the past 4 years. Youngest of 
10 children, daughter of Frederick A. Erichson and Lucie Laroque-Turgeau.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother, Richard P. 
Erichson.  Nina was educated at Dominican High School and College and 
received her Bachelors of Nursing from Mount St. Joseph College in 
Cincinnati, OH. Nina, as a young adult, joined the St. Mary Dominican 
Community of New Orleans as Sister Mary John Bosco, O.P. She was the first 
nurse on staff at the opening of North Oaks Hospital in Hammond, LA.
After leaving the Dominican order, Nina began a long career in nursing 
education at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. She then continued her 
studies and career in psychiatric nursing education, earning her Doctorate 
of Education from Virginia Tech.  She retired in 1996 as Professior of 
Nursing at Marymount University in Arlington, VA.  Relatives and friends of 
the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Albert the Great 
Catholic Student Center, 409 West Dakota Street, Hammond, La. 70401 on 
Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. Visitation at the church on Wednesday 
will be from 9 a.m. until service time.  Interment will follow Mass at 
Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2280 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA.  Funeral
