HADSKEY, BRENDA BACAS
A loving devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, she passed away 
Wednesday, April 18, 2012, in Baton Rouge. She was born in New Orleans on 
Oct. 26, 1940. She was a legal secretary for the firm Martin Shott and a 
graduate of Baton Rouge Business School. Brenda was blessed with many 
talents, being a gifted seamstress and extremely creative. She was quite 
gregarious, optimistic, and ever cheerful. Survived by her sons, John E. 
Hadskey III, Chalmette, La., and David W. Hadskey, Baton Rouge, La.; 
grandsons, John E. Hadskey IV, Stephen Hadskey, of Hammond, La., David W. 
"Beau" Hadskey II and Alexander Wharton Hadskey, Baton Rouge, La.; 
granddaughter, April Hadskey, Chattanooga, Tenn.; brothers, Herbert Erwin 
Jr. and wife Peggy, and Thomas Erwin and wife Norma, both of St. 
Francisville, La.; beloved nephew and niece, Herbert Erwin III, Natchez, 
Miss., and Olivia Rosenthal, New Orleans, La.; dear friends, Adele, Elaine, 
Evelyn and Wanda; and dear classmates of St. Francisville High School class 
of 1958. Preceded in death by father, Joseph Bacas; mother, Marguerite 
Bougere Erwin; sisters, Jane Perrine Erwin and Bobbie Hughes; and 
stepfather, Herbert P. Erwin Sr. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral 
Home, 825 Government St., on Monday, April 23, from noon until services at 
2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer 
Society.
