She passed away at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington. Dorothy leaves behind her loving husband of 66 years, Harry C. Hafers; five daughters and sons-in-law, Trudy letcher (Dwight), Susan Larson (Jerry), Betty Ballow (Paul), Connie Vicknair (Tommy) and Merry McReynolds (Larry); one son, Harry Hafers II (Bonnie); one sister, Thelma Licciardi (Tony); a sister-in-law, Gladys Hudgens; a brother-in-law, Jack Roubion; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Preceding Dorothy in death were her parents, Waldo and Alphonsine Esteves, and a brother, Waldo Esteves, Jr. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, west of Hammond, on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 1:00 p.m., with visiting hours beginning at 11:00 a.m. Rev.
