HALFORD, MAGGIE SHORT
LaPlace - Maggie Short Halford died Thursday, May 31, 2001. A native of
Sumrall, Miss., she was a member of Riverlands Country Club. Survivors
include her husband, William B. Halford; a son, Carl R. Hemphill; two 
daughters, Connie L. Hemphill and Julie Ann Bordelon; a sister, Elderidge
Short; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grand-
children. She was preceded in death by 12 siblings and a grandchild. 
Visitation will be today at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, Airline Highway in
LaPlace, from 5 until 8 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until the funeral at
10. Burial will be in St. John Memorial Gardens in LaPlace.
