HAND, FREDDIE LAVERN BAIN
A resident of Hammond, she died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at Belle Maison
Nursing Home. She was 85 and a native of Ethel, Miss. Visiting was at Harry
McKneely & Son Funeral Home chapel, Hammond, from 11 a.m. until religious
services at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Interment was in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Jane Kleinpeter, West Lafayette,
Ind.; and two grandchildren, James Andrew Kleinpeter III and Robyn Noelle 
Kleinpeter, both of West Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Calvin E. Hand; and parents, William Elliott and Pearl Waddlington
Bain. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and Hammond Chapter of
Order of the Eastern Star.
