McAllen, Texas - Berry J. Hardin, 76, died Sunday, March 2, 2003, at McAllen Medical Center. He was a native of Ennis and a former resident of College Station, Texas. He was a graduate of Springfield High School and Southeastern University. He was a retired auditor/supervisor with the USDA and a World War II veteran having served in the Marine Corps. He is survived by three daughters, Geralyn "Gerri" Pack of Cartersville, Ga., Vickie Johnson of Mission, Texas, and Dawn Hardin of Austin, Texas; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Victoria Poche Hardin, a sister, Corrine St. Cyr; a brother, Chester Hardin; and his wife, Elaine Morse Hardin. Visitation will be today at Kreidler Funeral Home, McAllen, Texas, from noon until 8 p.m. The funeral will be at 7 p.m. The Rev. Kenny Wood will officiate. The committal service will be Friday at 10 a.m. in Bryan, Texas, at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Survived by three sons, Mitchell Harris, Joseph Harris and Aaron Harris, all of Amite; mother, Frances Trahan, Houma; a sister, Cheryl Gray, Amite; and two brothers, Michael Floyd, Amite, and Steve Floyd, New London, Miss.
