She was born in New Orleans, raised in Kenner and resided in Ponchatoula for the past 15 years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hammond. Beloved wife of the late McKinley "Max" G. Harding. Daughter of the late Harold P. and Beatrice Mae Ferrara Hidalgo. Sister of Carolyn Short. Aunt of Ryan Rodriguez (Catherine). Great-aunt of Mia Grace Rodriguez. Ponchatoula - McKinley George "Max" "Coach" Harding Sr., 73, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was born in Galena Park, Texas, and was a former resident of Houma. He was a retired president of Quality Shipyard in Houma, former chairman of the board for South Louisiana Bank and former drilling superintendent for ODECO. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hammond and the National Rifle Association. He was also a staff sergeant with the U.S. Marine, 1st Airborne Marine Division during the Korean conflict. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hidalgo Harding; one daughter, Ann Harding Perryman; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be tonight at L.A.
