Logan resided with his parents, Michelle and Christopher Crawford in Sunny Hill. He was a senior at Sumner High School where he excelled in both academics and sports. A favorite teacher recalls of how he was the sunshine of her day. He was also a member of FCCLA and Just Say No Club. He loved football and had been a member of the team his entire high school years. He was a member of the powerlifting team, where he achieved the top cowboy spot in the "1000 lb. Club." Logan had a deep love and commitment for his family and friends. Logan is remembered by his family for his contagious smile, politeness, quiet humor, willingness to help and unending devotion. His hobbies were riding four-wheelers, swimming with Seth, Connor, Ayden and friends at the gravel pit, dancing and playing sports. His future aspirations were to become a radiologist. Christopher always said, "Logan, I want to grow up to be just like you," and "That boy can do anything." He will be missed by all that knew him. His family and friends feel blessed to have known him and been part of his life. Visitation will be at Spring Creek Baptist Church on Thursday, Aug. 16, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 17, from 8 a.m. until service at 11. He was survived by his mother, Sherri Hargis, of Mount Hermon; father, Clyde Hargis Jr., of Baltimore; brother, C.J.; sister, Niki; grandparents, Fredrick and Margie Ellis, Malcolm and Carey Wascom, all of Mount Hermon, Mac Wascom, of Franklinton, Trish and Don Painter, and Paul Crawford, all of Kentwood; and great-grandparents, Cecile Alford, of Sunny Hill, and the late Winston Alford; aunts and uncles, Trey and Christi Travis, and Ann-Claire Painter, all of Kentwood, Mike and Sandra Rhorer, of Baton Rouge, Lewis and Shannon Powell, of Franklinton, David and Sheila Alaniz, of Chelsia, Ala., Charles and Sheila Kelley and Pat Ellis, both of Mount Hermon, Lin and Cindy Alford, and Cyndi and Brad Blades, all of Sunny Hill, Judy and Randy Eckman of McComb, Miss., Jan and Otis Alford, of Kentwood, and Rebekah and Jason Smith, of Middleton, N.J.; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and all of Sumner High School. Pallbearers will be Max Blades, Kelvin Blades, Michael Gulotta, Presley Newman, Chris Allen and Duncan Hanson. Honorary pallbearers are C.J. Simpson, James Bickham, Kevin McDaniel, Dujuan Dyson, Kuarez Brumfield, Ethan Givens, Zach Melerine, Joseph Calderone and David Dugar. Logan will be laid to rest at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Sumner High School in memory of Logan to enhance the education or sports program.
