HASTINGS, ESTELLA MAY
Miss Hastings was born Feb. 10, 1912, in Texarkana, Texas, and passed away
Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at Heritage Manor. There will be a memorial
service at Community Bible Church, 8354 Jefferson Highway, on Thursday,
Jan. 17, at 6 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Bruce Worrell. She is survived by
nine nieces and nephews, A.W. Bridges, Cathy Hastings, Susan Pray and David
Hastings, all of Baton Rouge, Robert Earl Bridges and Benny Ray Bridges,
both of Shreveport, Betty Elane Lawrence, of Liberty, Texas, Linda
Graziano, of Hammond, and Thomas Hastings, of Longview, Texas; and a
sister-in-law, Mildred Hastings, of Baton Rouge. Memorials may be made to a
favorite church or charity.

HASTINGS, MALCOLM G.
Malcolm G. Hastings was born June 15, 1938, and passed away at 10:40 a.m., 
Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, at his residence surrounded by his loving wife and
family. He was 72, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Arcola. Mr. 
Malcolm was a deacon of Hillsdale Baptist Church, teacher and coach, member 
of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, Society of Americans 
Magicians and the Fellowship of Christian Magicians. He is survived by his 
wife, Sylvia Miller Hastings, Arcola; five children, Gwendolyn Hastings 
Autin and husband, Johnny, Hammond, Malcolm "Bo" Hastings and wife, Glenda, 
Spartanburg, S.C., William Kenneth Hastings and wife Mary, Calendonia, 
Miss., Benjamin Hastings and wife Brittany, Ponchatoula, and Brynn Hastings 
Campo and husband, Sam, Amite; 12 grandchildren and one on the way; and 
seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Errol and 
Hazel Bickford Hastings; grandson, Malcolm L. Hastings Jr.; and brother, 
Paul Bickford. Visitation at Hillsdale Baptist Church, Hillsdale, on 
Wednesday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. until Celebration of Life worship service at 
noon with the Rev. Darryl Miller and Brother Jaimie Autin officiating. 
Interment in Hillsdale Cemetery. McKneely & Vaughn Funeral Home is in

HASTINGS, MAUDE BAILEY
A resident of Ponchatoula, she died Sunday, April 7, 2002, at her home. She
was 94 and a native of Harperville, Miss. Visitation at Harry McKneely &
Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 9 a.m. until religious services in the
chapel at 11 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Gary Dennis. Interment in
Sand Hill Cemetery. Survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Audie and
Pat Emmons and Wanda Hastings, all of Ponchatoula; two sons and a daughter-
in-law, Joe Edwards, Ponchatoula, and Bill and Carolyn Edwards, Metairie; a
daughter-in-law, Joy Edwards, Ponchatoula; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-
grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her
first husband, Clark Edwards; her second husband, Robert M. Hastings; a 
son, Bobby Edwards; and a daughter-in-law, Dean Edwards.
