He was a longtime resident of Hammond and served our country in the United States Marines as a Lance Corporal. He leaves behind his wife, Marie Giluso Hayman; children, Michelle Hebert and husband Terry, Tracy Collins and husband Telly, and Wendy Puma; grandchildren, Tyler Stewart, Guy Puma V, Brooke Stewart, and Faith Hebert. He is also survived by his mother, Pauline Gentry Eaton and siblings, Gentry Eaton and wife Kathy, William Hayman and wife Linda, Linda Lochbrunner and husband Lewis, and Connie Chaney and husband Horace, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his father, William Hayman, infant brother, Larry Hayman and brother, Herbert Eaton III. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, west of Hammond, on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. The service will be conducted by Dr. Rodney Taylor and interment will follow in Carter Cemetery.
