HEIN, JOHN GEORGE, JR.
John George "Buddy" Hein, Jr. passed away on Monday, March 31, 2008 at the
Hospice House in Hammond. He was 96 years old. Beloved husband of the late
Corinne Blanchard Hein. Father of Sharon Crews and Sheryl Morales.  Father-
in-law of Robert Patton Crews and Ronnie "Tank" Morales. Grandfather of
Celeste Crews Mauro and Chase Hein Morales. Great grandfather of Jackson
Dean Morales. He helped build the first fire house and served as District
Chief of Jefferson Parish for 25 years. During WWII he served in the First
Special Service Force. He received a citation from King Olaf. Buddy was the
first resident admitted to the Hospice House. The family especially
acknowledges the loving care given by Donna Landry and staff, and to
Patricia Westmoreland and all the supporters of the RMHF and hospice house
who were there for us in every way. The family would like to invite local
friends and family to attend a "celebration of life" at the Hospice House
at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to The
