HERZOG, FREDERICK JOHN 
He died at 2:50 a.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, at St. Helena Parish Hospital,
Greensburg. He was 72, a native of Lexington, Mass., and a resident of
Amite. He was a photographer, artist, and printer, and a U.S. Navy veteran
of Korea. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 10 a.m. to 
1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Graveside Services at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev.
Don Campbell. Interment in Spring Cemetery, Amite. He is survived by wife,
Katherine Giles Herzog, Amite; three daughters, Connie Landry, Mobile,
Ala., Rachel Herzog, Dallas, and Cindy Herzog, Amite; a granddaughter,
Lindsay Landry, Mobile; and a sister, Elizabeth Jones, Ft. Edward, N.Y.

HERZOG, KATHERINE GILES
A resident of Amite, she died at 2:14 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2009, at her 
home. She was 76 and a native of Independence. Graveside service at Spring 
Cemetery, Amite, was on Monday, June 8, at noon, conducted by the Rev. 
Tommy Hicks. Survived by her three daughters, Connie Landry, of Mobile, 
Ala., Cindy Herzog, of Amite, and Rachel Trout, of Plano, Texas; two sons-
in-law, Corey Trout, of Plano, and Jeff Landry, of Mobile; sister, Deloras 
Giles Moriarty; brothers, Robert Giles, of Choudrant, James Giles, of 
Calhoun, Keith Giles, of Henderson, Nev., Victor Giles, of Amite, and 
Larry Giles, of Independence. Preceded in death by her husband, Fred 
Herzog; and parents, Dwight and Lillian Giles. Arrangements by McKneely
