A resident of Norco, he died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at his home. He was 74 and a native of Taft. Visitation at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norco, on Thursday, March 13, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Terry Hayden. Interment in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery, Destrehan. He is survived by three sons, Floyd Heurtin Jr. and wife Geren, Baton Rouge, Steve Heurtin, Amite, and Mitch Heurtin, Montz; two daughters, Penny Blank and husband Tim, St. Amant, and Lisa Ramos, Norco; two sisters, Ursula Borne and husband Leo, Ponchatoula, and Beverly Weber, Norco; 10 grandchildren, Joshua Heurtin, Justine, Bridget and Taylor Champagne, Matt, Travis and Sara Ramos, Chance Blank, Geren Heurtin and Jackson Heurtin; and two great-grandchildren, Chance Blank Jr. and Collin Blank. Preceded in death by his wife, Kay Heurtin; son, Timmy Heurtin; sons-in-law, Tommy Champagne and Carlos Ramos; and sister, Milda Robert. Arrangements by H.C.
