She most recently resided in Baton Rouge. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed celebrating Mardi Gras with the Krewe of Galatea in Morgan City, Krewe of Romany in Baton Rouge and Krewe of Louisianans in Washington, D.C., where she proudly sponsored her grandchildren's participation as maids, debutantes and paiges. June and Ken also enjoyed being the largest breeders of Peruvian Paso Horses in the state of Louisiana for more than 20 years. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Kenneth Hidalgo Sr., of Baton Rouge; three children, daughter Sherry Jones Breaux and her husband, Dale Breaux, of Baton Rouge, daughter Debra Jones MacConnell and her husband, Brian MacConnell, of Berwick, and son Kevin Jones, of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren, Dawn Andrus Schwartz, Stacy Breaux Brown, Nicholas Breaux, Kyle Jones, Brian MacConnell II and Chelsea Jones; three great-grandchildren; and her sister, Maurice Teague, of Ponchatoula. She was preceded in death by her sister, Eunice Rayburn Shawaker. As a true believer and supporter of the sciences, her wishes were to donate her body to the LSU School of Medicine for the betterment of science and medicine.
