She was a homemaker, a native of Oncenta, Ala., and a member of Magnolia Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, William Higgins, Holden; daughter, Christina Bankston, Tickfaw; two sons, Michael Higgins, Robert, Owen Higgins, Tampa, Fla.; mother, Elsie Witt Gates, Hammond; brother, Charles Cobb, Ponchatoula; and eight grandchildren. Her father, Ty Cobb; and stepfather, James O. Gates, preceded her in death. Visitation will be at Geisler Funeral Home, Albany, Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the funeral at noon. The Rev.
