Father Alfred Wilder officiated. Mr. Hoehle died Saturday, July 21, at his home. He was born in New Orleans and retired from Seventh Ward General Hospital with 27 years of service. Survivors include a daughter, Mattie Lou Hoehle of Tyler; grandsons Glenn Dupree of New Mexico and Patrick Dupree of Tyler; a granddaughter, Catherine Ann Shillcutt of Tyler, nine great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. He was prededed in death by his wife, Gertrude Wallace Hoehle; a daughter, Thais Dupree; and a grandson David Dupree. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in the Hammond Daily Star on: 6/12/2011 HOEHLE, MATTIE LOU Services for Mattie Lou "Nan" Hoehle are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2011 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ponchatoula, LA under direction of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home. A Memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, June 17th at St. Paul's Chapel in Tyler with Father Tim McLaughlin officiating, with arrangements under direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. Mrs. Hoehle died Wednesday, June 8, 2011 in Tyler. She was born August 19, 1934 in Maurepas, LA to the late Mathias G. and Gertrude Wallis Hoehle. She graduated from Ponchatoula High School and Southeastern Louisiana University. She served in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years and one day with the rank of Captain. She retired from the Veterans Administration in Chillicothe, Ohio as a registered dietician and has lived in Tyler since 1995. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and brother-in-law, Thais and Edward Dupree; nephews, Glenn and David Dupree and a great-great-niece, Jennifer Shillcutt. Survivors include a niece and her husband, Catherine and Bill Shillcutt; a nephew, Patrick and his wife, Chris; great-nieces, Julia Dupree and Andrea Shoemaker and her husband, Jay; great-nephews, Erick Dupree and Justin Shillcutt; great-great-nephew, David Shoemaker; and great-great-nieces, Rebekah and Cathleen Shoemaker.
