HOEY, IONE WILD
Ione Wild Hoey, 88 years old of Killian, died Tuesday, January 5, 2010, in
Belle Maison Nursing Home.  She was born on Sunday, September 25, 1921, in
Hammond.  Mrs. Hoey was a life long member at Killian First Baptist Church.
She was retired from South Central Bell and a life long resident of
Killian.  Surviving are her grandson, O. B. "Peanut" Melvin, Jr.;
daughter-in-law, Mary Melvin; 4 step grandchildren, Pam Falconello, Sam
Hutchinson, Wayland Wall, and Kristie Blades; great-grandson, William
Melvin; and step great-grandson, Trevor Farkas.  She is preceded in death
by her husband, Calvin Hoey; parents, Sophia Redmond and Henry Wild; son,
O.B. Melvin, Sr.; 2 grandchildren, Ronald and Douglas Melvin; 3 brothers;
and 1 sister.  Friends will be received Friday, January 8, 2010, at the
Killian First Baptist Church from 8:00 a.m. until the funeral service at
11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow in the Killian Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Killian First Baptist
