HOLIDAY, FREDA C. 
Freda C. Holiday died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at Riverside
Medical Center in Franklinton. She was 93, a native of Tangipahoa Parish
and a resident of Franklinton. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home,
Kentwood, on Wednesday, Nov. 15, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 
8 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Charles
Brady and the Rev. Donnie Easley. Interment in Mount Hermon Cemetery, Mount
Hermon. She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine
and Eddie Strickland, Osyka, Miss., Bettye and Claude Smith, Ponchatoula,
and Linda and E.H. Welch, Kentwood; 10 grandchildren, Sandy Vicknair,
Cheryl Kirkland, Ronnie Smith, Terri Easley, Ramona McElveen, "Skipper"
Crawford, Debbie Crawford, Darla Oliver, Holly Travis and Kenneth Velen; 
13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded
in death by her parents, Fred P. Claybaugh and Mary Price Lea; husband,
Elton Holiday; son, James L. Holiday; grandson, James Holiday Jr.;
great-grandson, Jake Kirkland; four brothers, Harold, David, Robert and
Homer Lea Jr.; and three sisters, Alma Dykes, Faye Morris and Ida Sanders.
She was an angel among mortals and will be greatly missed by her family and
friends. She was also the oldest member of East Fork Baptist Church. For

HOLIDAY, LILLIAN
"And I said, oh that I had wings like a dove! For then would I fly away,
and be at rest." Psalm 55:6. Lillian Holiday died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008,
at her home in McComb, Miss. She was 92 and a native of Greensburg. Viewing
at Angelic Funeral Home, Roseland, on Monday, Dec. 22, from 5 p.m. to 
9 p.m. Religious service at Rose Valley Missionary Baptist Church, 
Roseland, on Tuesday, Dec. 23, at 11 a.m., officiated by Dr. Bobby R.
Showers Sr. Interment in Black Creek AME Cemetery. She is survived by a
sister, Willie Mae Coleman, of Tangipahoa; brother, Warner Holiday, of
Zachary; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews,
great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, including special niece, Angela
Coleman Williams, her husband, Enoch and their son, Nicholas; and numerous
other relatives and friends, homegirls and homeboys. She was preceded in
death by her parents, Jerry Holiday and Luzana Walls Holiday; five
brothers, two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law.

HOLIDAY, TYRONE
A native of Kentwood, he died on Friday, Oct. 27, 2006, at his home in
Baton Rouge. He was 37 and a heavy-equipment operator for the city of Baton
Rouge. Visiting at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Baker, on Thursday, Nov. 2,
from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Kenneth
Chandler. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his
wife, Janice R. Holiday, Baton Rouge; mother and stepfather, Dorothy and
Robert Mays Sr.; father, Tommie Robertson, Kentwood; a daughter, Miranda
Holiday, Baton Rouge; three sisters, Deborah Wells and husband Reggie,
Ashley and Dawn Mays, Baton Rouge; a brother, Robert Mays Jr., Dallas;
mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lenora and Leon Rayford, St. Francisville;
grandmother, Doris Holiday, Baton Rouge; niece, Britney Wells, Baton Rouge;
