She loved to spend quiet time reading and painting; but most of all, she was devoted to rearing her son after the death of her husband in 1969. She is survived by her son, Leonard Hopper, Jr.; granddaughter, Victoria Hopper and two sisters, Jacquline Butler and Mary Monwillo. Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Hopper, Sr. and one brother, Harris Butler. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from the chapel of Brandon G. DIED: March 30, 1969 - Hammond - Religious services for Leonard D. Hopper Sr., are scheduled at 3 p.m. today at the Thomas Funeral Home in Hammond.
