He was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and was a Mason. He is survived by three sons, Tom Horne of LaPlace, Don Horne of Springhill and Ronnie Horne of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Betty Jane Douglas of Canton, Miss.; and four grandchildren. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at Alexander Funeral Home, Norco. A graveside service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Canton Cemetery, Canton, Miss. H.C. He was 65. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, from 5:00 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation on Tuesday will begin at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Ken Spivey will conduct religious services in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. He is survived by his wife of forty- eight years, Judy L. Horne, two sons, Daniel Todd and Ashley Hanks Horne and Chadwick Sean and Kara Vidrine Horne, granddaughter, Avery Larkin Horne, three grandsons, Hayden Chadwick Horne, Jude Daniel Horne and Jeremiah Ray "Jerry" Horne, two brothers, Woody Horne and wife Frances and Terry Joseph Horne, sister, Lanasue Irene Horne, special uncle, Burnell Lea, special cousin Debbie McConell and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and golfing buddies. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa "Missy" Dawn Horne, parents, Woodrow Wilson Horne and Audrey Mae Horne, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Festus Lea of Kentwood. He was an avid golfer, an outstanding athlete and became a tremendous man of God, a wonderful example for his family and friends.
