An exact account of the accident could not be had because of the lacking of an eye witness. The _____ of tractors tracks after it left the highway leads those who investigated the accident to believe that Miles, who had been under treatment for some time, had blacked out while returning home from a field he had been discing. The tractor tracks show that the machine left the highway abruptly and followed a broken zigzag course for some sixty feet before coming to rest against a telephone pole. Houeye's body was beneath a rear wheel when he was found, the right side of his body crushed. He is survived by his wife, Floyce Bracy Houeye, one daughter, Pamela Lynn; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Houeye, of Roseland; one brother, Erwin of Auburn University; and one sister, Mrs. Lea Beth Simpson of Bastrop. Funeral services were held from the home of A. V. Houeye in Amite with interment in the Arcola-Roseland cemetery. Rev. Douglas McGuire of Ruston conducted religious services with the Thomas Funeral Home of Hammond in charge of arrangements. *************************************************************************** File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/la/tangipahoa/obits/obitssur/houeye.txt
