He was a native of New Orleans and a diesel engineer. He was a combat veteran of the U.S. Navy in Vietnam on the USS Ranger CVA61 and suffered from post traumatic stress disorder. He also served in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his son, Craig Hueschen of Kenner; his siblings, Joan H. Watson of Amite and Ronald Hueschen of Covington; and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Hueschen; his son, Randy Hueschen; his sister, Helen Walgotte; and his parents, Ennid and Cecilia Lawrence Hueschen. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Arcola-Roseland Cemetery. McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, is in charge of the arrangements. *************************************************************************
