She was born May 30, 1939, in Hammond to the late Velma Watts and Johnny Banks Sr. She is also the goddaughter of Annie Mae Banks. Visitation will be at N.A. James Friday 5-9 p.m. with the funeral at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Ernest Peters Sr. Interment in Zachary Public Cemetery, Zachary. She is survived by three sisters, Dorothy Fisher and Gloria Y. Brooks, both of Baker, and Gwendolyn Peters, of Amite; three foster children, Ke Antre Jackson and Keneshia Jackson, both of Port Allen, and Kemond Brister, of Houston; a special friend, Ruby Alsanders.
