HUMPHREY, GEORGE
Springfield - George Humphrey, 74, died Monday, May 13, 2002, at his home. 
He was a native of Lincoln County, Miss. Visitation will be Friday at MJR
Friendly Service Funeral Home, Denham Springs, from 1 to 9 p.m. and
Saturday from 1 p.m. until the funeral at 2 at Galilee AME Church,
Caseyville. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

HUMPHREY, LEO 
Evangelist Leo Humphrey, a resident of Hammond, died Sunday, March 26,
2006, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was 71, born Tuesday, Oct.
23, 1934, in Checotah, Okla., the son of the late Joseph Gordon and Ethel
Humphrey. Surviving are his wife, Loyce K. Humphrey of Hammond; daughter,
Jill Pletcher of Dallas; grandson, Benjamin Kelly Pletcher; granddaughter,
Margaret "Maggie" Elizabeth Pletcher; two brothers, Donald Joseph Humphrey
of Fort Smith, Ark., and Douglas David Humphrey of Lavaca, Ark.; and two
sisters, Joan Clark of Checotah and Brenda Joy Jamison of Greenwood, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kelly Humphrey. Friends will be
received at Woodland Park Baptist Church, Hammond, on Tuesday, March 28,
from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 29, from 8 a.m. until
religious service at 10 a.m. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery, Checotah. In
lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good News in Action Inc. E-mail

HUMPHREY, THELMA BIRCH
A resident of Greensburg, she died at 4:45 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2008, at
St. Helena Parish Hospital in Greensburg. She was 86 and a native of
Kentwood. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, on Monday, June 2,
from 9 a.m. until religious service at 3 p.m. Interment in New Zion
Cemetery, Kentwood. Survived by four children, Loleta Blades, Greensburg,
Sylvester Humphrey, Amite, Linda Reeves, Greensburg and Paulette Simmons,
Kentwood; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Cosma
Hodges and Marcelle Cuti, both of Amite, Ruby Wolken, Prairieville, and
Margaret Estes, Kentwood. Preceded in death by her husband, Percy L.
Humphrey; six grandchildren, Brian Blades, Billy Reeves, Calvin Reeves,
Clifton Simmons, Deana Simmons Warwick and Kallie Glenn Brown; and two
