He was 71, born Tuesday, Oct. 23, 1934, in Checotah, Okla., the son of the late Joseph Gordon and Ethel Humphrey. Surviving are his wife, Loyce K. Humphrey of Hammond; daughter, Jill Pletcher of Dallas; grandson, Benjamin Kelly Pletcher; granddaughter, Margaret "Maggie" Elizabeth Pletcher; two brothers, Donald Joseph Humphrey of Fort Smith, Ark., and Douglas David Humphrey of Lavaca, Ark.; and two sisters, Joan Clark of Checotah and Brenda Joy Jamison of Greenwood, Ark. He was preceded in death by his son, Kelly Humphrey. Friends will be received at Woodland Park Baptist Church, Hammond, on Tuesday, March 28, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 29, from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery, Checotah.
