HUNGATE, GEORGE CLINTON
George Clinton Hungate, 59 years old of Ponchatoula, died Saturday,
February 28, 2009, at his residence.  He was born on Wednesday, March 30,
1949, in Ponchatoula.  Surviving are his 3 daughters, Sasha Nichole H.
Berthelot and husband Jerrod M., Alison Kae Hungate, and Georgette
Elizabeth Hungate; son, Stanley Michael Ray Hebert; 2 sisters, Emmy Lou
Hungate Trammell and Mary Ellen Hungate Boelhower; 2 brothers, Harry A.
Hungate and Grady K. Hungate; and 6 grandchildren.  He is preceded in death
by his parents, Louise Haight and Harry Hungate; and daughter, Andrea Mary
Louise Hungate.  Friends will be received Tuesday, March 3, 2009, from 
9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Harry McKneely &
Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula.  Interment will follow in the Wetmore

HUNGATE, HARRY BIRD   
A retired state maintenance employee and a resident of Ponchatoula, he died
Sunday, Sept. 27, 1998, at Belle Maison Nursing Home. He was 81 and a
native of Summit, Miss. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home
chapel, Ponchatoula, 8:30 a.m. Thursday until religious services at 11 a.m.
Interment in Wetmore Cemetery. Survived by two daughters, Emmy Lou Hungate
Trammell, Ponchatoula, and Mary Ellen Hungate Boelhower, Portsmouth, N.H.;
three sons, Harry A. Hungate, Bradenton, Fla., Grady K. Hungate, Baton
Rouge, and George C. Hungate, Ponchatoula; two sisters, Mary Alice Hungate
Clarke, Knoxville, Tenn., and Josephine Hungate Gassen, Ponchatoula; and
eight grandchildren. Preceded in death by wife, Louise Haight Hungate; a
granddaughter, Andrea Hungate; and parents, Harrison and Emma Bird
Hungate. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations be made to
First Presbyterian Church, 197 S. Fourth St., Ponchatoula LA 70454.

Henry Hungate, 30, son of Mrs. Anthony Tucker of Ripley, Tex., and the 
late Grady Hungate of Hammond, was killed in a car accident in California.
Local relatives are Judge and Mrs. W. S. Rowd.
