He was born March 14, 1984, in Covington, son of Fred Hurd and Kimberly Ann Summers Hoyt, and LTC Richard Hoyt. Surviving are four brothers, Ricky, Robby,and Ryan Hoyt, and Tyler Hurd; a sister Rachel Hoyt; and grand- parents, Pat and Eddie Ramon, Bill and Beverly Summers, and Alice and Richard Hoyt. Friends will be received Saturday, November 4, 2006, at Harry McKneely & Son in Ponchatoula from 8:30 a.m. until the 10 a.m. Funeral Home Chapel Service, conducted by Rev. Glynn Fendlason. She was 58, born Sunday, Aug. 24, 1947, in Georgia. She is survived by are her husband, Robert Hurd of Covington; son, Todd Edward Burns of Independence; two grandsons, Nathan and Benjamin Burns, both of Independence; mother, Wanda Pinkard of the New Orleans west bank area; two brothers, Danny and Michael Pinkard, both of the New Orleans west bank area; two sisters, Debbie Walston and Carol Gilbeau, both of the New Orleans west bank area; three stepchildren, Christopher Hurd of Fort Polk, Cory Hurd of Mississippi and Chad Hurd of Slidell; three step- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Houston Pinkard; and an infant brother. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, on Thursday, Dec. 8, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Religious service at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Lorena Wilson officiating. Interment in Mount Stevens Cemetery, Independence.
