He was 89 years old. He was born on November 14, 1923 in Roseland, Louisiana. He passed away at his residence in the Woodhaven Community west of Natalbany, Louisiana. He was 91 years of age. A respected business and community leader, he was the owner of Hutchinson Tires, and the founder of Big River Tires. He proudly represented the citizens of Central as their elected member of the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board, and was a member of the Board of Deacons and Board of Trustees of Zoar Baptist Church. A veteran of WWII, he served in the Panama Canal Zone during that conflict, and rose to the rank of Army Master Sergeant (E-8) in charge of all post recreational activities and facilities. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Herbert Hutchinson and Iva Addison Hutchinson of Tickfaw, and his beloved wife of 69 years, Virgie Lavilla Williams Hutchinson who died on February 24, 2013 at 93 years of age.
