She was 78, a native of Vernon Parish and a lifelong resident of the New Orleans area. Mrs. Indest was a longtime employee of First National Bank of Commerce, later worked for the Jefferson Parish school system and was a decorating consultant for Home Interiors for many years. She was the beloved wife of the late George F. Indest Jr., mother of George F. Indest III, Michael O. Indest, Felix E. Indest, Shirley I. Gianelloni, Susan D. Indest and David W. Indest, mother-in-law of Angelyn Indest, Alice Indest, Tamara Indest, Gary Gianelloni and Brenda Ortego, daughter of the late Oscar Oliver Johnson and Edna Holt Johnson, and sister of William E. "Coach" Johnson, of Ponchatoula, Lucy J. Taylor, of Baton Rouge, and the late Joseph B.Johnson. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at First Baptist Church of Kenner, 1400 Williams Blvd., on Saturday, March 22, from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment in Ponchatoula Cemetery at 3 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, P.O.
