She was 85 and a native of Brooklyn, N.Y. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 11 a.m. Saturday until religious services at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. John Pitzer. Interment in Rose Memorial Cemetery. Survived by a son, Robert Kurt Irion, Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Richardson Irion Jr. She was an educator with the Tangipahoa Parish School System, having taught foreign languages for 22 years at Ponchatoula High School. She was a volunteer Pink Lady at North Oaks Medical Center for 22 years. She was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church and was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. ROBERT RICHARDSON A loving husband and grandfather and a retired statistician with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, he died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was 95, a resident of Tickfaw and a native of Bunkie. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served in the 1st Construction Battalion for four years. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home chapel, Hammond, 8:30 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment in Rose Memorial Cemetery. Survived by wife, Eunice Aubinger Irion, Tickfaw; a son, Robert Kurt Irion, Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandchildren, Kurt Irion, Jacksonville, Ricky Irion, Yulee, Fla., and Kimberly Coleman, Callahan, Fla.; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents; and two sisters, Ann Perry and Catherine Oliphant. He was a member of the American Legion in Baton Rouge.
