IRVIN, JIMMY LEE
Jimmy Lee Irvin, owner and operator of Irvin's Roofing, was born Jan. 11,
1962, to Fred "Mint" Jones Sr. and Elna Irvin Jones. Jimmy was born at the
Lallie Kemp Hospital in Independence. Jimmy departed this life on Saturday,
Sept. 20, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center at age 46.
He is survived by his wife, Melba L. Irvin; son, Adam Coy Irvin;
father-in-law and mother-in-law, J.W. and Dorothy Jackson; three sisters
and their spouses, Joyce and Clarence Williams and Viola and Ray Bureau,
all of Gonzales, and Janice Jones, of Tennessee; sister-in-law, Lydia A.
Jackson, of Prairieville; two brothers, Fred Jr. and Myrna Jones, of
Kenner, and Danny Jones, of Gonzales; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins,
nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation at New Life Christian Fellowship,
La. 929, Prairieville, on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 9 a.m. until religious
service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Kelvin W. Jackson. Final resting
place will be Bell Cemetery, Amos Road, Baton Rouge. Arrangements by
Lawson-Rollins Purple Shield Funeral Home, Gonzales.
