Joseph Clifford Isaac Sr., a resident of Metairie, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010, at age 100. Born Jan. 19, 1910, in New Roads, he was the son of Charles Stratiott Isaac and Adine Aguillard Isaac. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Lillie Adelaide Abbott; his parents; and his sister, Delia Mougeot. He began his career as a truck driver for Mac Williams Dredging Co. In the 1940s, he was a safety inspector for Delta Ship Builders in New Orleans. He worked for Pinkerton and Pendleton Detective Agency, which led to his becoming part-owner with Vinson Detective Agency, establishing Isaac and Vinson Detective Agency in the New Orleans area. He retired in the early 1970s and lived the remaining time of his life in Metairie. He is survived by two sons and their wives, Joseph Clifford Jr. and Janet Isaac, of Covington, and Charles Ralph and Sandra Isaac, of Slidell; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Cheryl and Greg Arabie, of Mandeville, Joseph C. III and Ann Isaac, of Houston, Cathy and Ralph Welton, of Clemson, S.C., Christy and Robert Reimsnyder, of Van Cleave, Miss., Jean Carolyn Isaac, of Covington, James Gary Isaac, of Ponchatoula and Sandra I. and Kevin Olano, of Pearl River; 13 great- grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at St. Timothy United Methodist Church, 335 Asbury Drive, Mandeville, on Saturday, June 19, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Timothy United Methodist Church, 335 Asbury Drive, Mandeville, LA 70471. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Advocate (Baton Rouge): 2/23/2007 ISAAC, WILLIA MAE A resident of Baton Rouge, she died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 76 and a native of Kentwood. Visiting at United Pentecostal Full Gospel on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 8:30 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by pastor Allmand. She is survived by three daughters, Debra Wheeler, Claudia G. Isaac, both of Baton Rouge, and Iris Shields, Acworth, Ga.; three sons, Edward Isaac, Jeffrey C. Isaac and Quintin W. Isaac, all of Baton Rouge; sister, Gaynell Warr, San Francisco; two brothers, Elsie Bates Jr., Louisville Ky., and Eugene Morris, Cleveland; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by Elise Bates Jr., Gladys Bates, Elizabeth Selvage, Betty Jean Forbes and Charles Bates. Pallbearers will be Bobbel and Tyrone Isaac, James, John and Johnny Wheeler Jr., Cardell Brumfield, Edwin Isaac, Patrick Isaac, Damey Cage, Marcella Lucas, Jeremy Shields and Franklin Lane. Honorary pallbearers are Jeffrey Isaac, Alvin Edwards, Sylvester Selvage, Elsie Bates Jr., Edward, Quintin, Jerry Lee, Aaron, Leon and Anthony Isaac, Billy Morris and Johnny Wheeler Sr. She loved serving the Lord.
