WILLIAM McKENDRY "KEN" A retired Methodist minister with more than 40 years of service, he passed away Monday, June 13, 2005, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was 73, a resident of Hammond and a native of Zachary. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, on Wednesday, June 15, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at First United Methodist Church, Hammond, on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until religious service at 10:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Robert Potter, the Rev. Bill Eubanks and the Rev. Ken Bowman. Interment in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery, Hammond. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley Gossen Jacocks of Hammond; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Dickie Parrott of Kemah, Texas; three sons and a daughter-in-law, William "Will" and Wendy Jacocks of Gonzales, Dr. Matthew J. Jacocks and James Wesley Jacocks, both of New Orleans; eight grandchildren, William "Ken" Jacocks III, Woodrow James Jacocks, Jamey Jacocks, Jacob Jacocks, Destiny Jacocks, Ann and husband Landon Walker, Piper Jacocks and Travis Parrott; two great-grandchildren, Louis Walker and Clayton Jacocks; sister, Mary Lou Crifasi of Baton Rouge; three brothers, James Jacocks of Port Hudson, Harold Jacocks of Everman, Texas, and Tom Jacocks of Zachary. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Alonzo and Lucile James Jacocks. He was a graduate of Zachary High School, Centenary College and Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University, and served as vice president-elect of Kiwanis International, Hammond Club.
