Cwilla was the eighth of ten children, the last surviving sibling of this large, fun-loving, close-knit family. She was also the last surviving spouse of the large James family. With a sharp mind and keen memory up to the time of her death, she loved to relive and relate stories about life from "the good ole days." As the wife of a WWII veteran who endured long, lonely, anxiety filled days while her husband was away in the European theaters, she further developed her fiercely independent and determined nature. Hard work was second nature to her, and until the fall of 2010, she maintained and manicured her acre of property and adjoining subdivision property in accordance with her meticulous standards and details. Faith, friends, family, and flowers were her passions. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oak Grove Cemetery Fund, c/o Gerald Flynn, 51308 Hwy. 443, Loranger, LA 70446.
