She served on the usher board, as a deaconess and was an Eastern Star member. She leaves to cherish her memory, four daughters, Carrie Wells Ponds of Ponchatoula, Bernice Wells Jackson of Hammond, and Debbie Wells and Deborah Wells Richardson, both of Ponchatoula; two sons, Percy Wells and Larry Wells, both of Ponchatoula; 30 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
