JEWELL, JAMES PATRICK 
 
PONCHATOULA - James Patrick Jewell, 58, died Friday, Sept. 20, 2002, at North 
Oaks Medical Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include his 
mother, Betty Jewell, Amite; his wife, Tina Jewell, Ponchatoula; three sons, Paul, 
James and Jacob Jewell, all of Ponchatoula; two sisters, Barbara Woodworth, Mt. 
Hermon, and Linda Jewell, Riverside, Calif.; two brothers, Tommy and Eddie Jewell, 
both of Riverside, Calif.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 
his father, Enoch Jewell; and a brother, Michael Jewell. A Mass will be Monday at 
10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ponchatoula. Burial will be in Port 
Hudson National Cemetery, Zachary. Geisler Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge.
