JOHNCOLA, KATHRYN GALLAGHER  

PONCHATOULA - Kathryn Gallagher Johncola, 83, died Saturday, June 29, 2002, 
at her residence. She was a native of Johnstown, Pa., and former resident of 
Bradley, Ill. Survivors include her husband, Vito Johncola of Ponchatoula; three 
daughters, Frances E. Poole of Holden, Kathryn E. Murphy of LaPlace and Vita K. 
Gremillion of Mobile; three sons, Raymond D. Shaw Jr. of Kenner, Richard W. Shaw 
of Strongstown, Pa., and Ronald P. Shaw of Bradley, Ill.; two sisters, Alma Strayer 
of Cleveland, Ohio, and Isabel Gallagher of Eerie, Pa.; 30 grandchildren; 33 
great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Her parents were the 
late Peter and Catherine Long Gallagher. A daughter, Marian Eileen Pizzolato; a 
sister, Lavinna Rolley; a brother, Thomas "Doubt" Gallagher; three grandchildren; 
and one great-grandchild also preceded her in death. Visitation will be at Harry 
McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, Friday from 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturday 
from 8 a.m. until the funeral at 11. Dominican Fathers will conduct the service.
